Girum Haile has more than 20 years of experience in designing, managing, leading, and coordinating research activities in Ethiopia, Kenya, South Sudan and Liberia. He brings extensive knowledge and direct survey field experience in survey design, including sample design, survey instrument development, data capturing, data management (data quality check, tabulation, data analysis using appropriate software like SPSS), and report writing and dissemination. Mr. Girum has experience in training of field personnel (data collectors, supervisors, coordinators) and field supervision. He has served as a Statistician, Researcher, and a Census Cartographic Field Supervisor with the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia. He has done many short-term consultancy services for various private firms, NGOs, and UN agencies in the area of survey management and data collection (both quantitative and qualitative). As the Co-Founder and COO of Hermon Research Ltd, Girum is responsible for managing and handling the day-to-day operations of the company and management of departments and experts. Girum holds M.Sc. in Population Studies/Demography (specializing in Reproductive Health) from Addis Ababa University.
