Mihretu Tadesse serves as a Senior Survey Manager at Hermon Research, where he plays a key role in coordinating with national statistical offices in Ethiopia and Kenya to facilitate the selection of Enumeration Areas (EAs) for survey implementation. He actively contributes to the development and refinement of survey tools, including questionnaires, interviewers’ and supervisors’ manuals, listing and training guides, forms, and related materials.

Mihretu collaborates with local language translation teams and Hermon Research staff to ensure all data collection tools are accurately translated and remain consistent with the original English versions. He also oversees the digitization of survey instruments and ensures that tablets and CAPI (Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing) systems are fully prepared for field deployment.

He leads pilot testing of survey instruments and software in the field, conducts training for supervisors and listing agents, and ensures rigorous data quality standards throughout the data collection process. With over 10 years of experience in data quality assurance, data management, and data entry, Mihretu brings strong technical and operational expertise to his role.

Mihretu holds an MSc in Demography (Population Studies and Reproductive Health) and an MA in Educational Research and Program Evaluation, both from Addis Ababa University, as well as a BEd in Mathematics from Jimma University.
